USING PUBLIC TRANSPORT

A comprehensive network of trains, buses and city cats (ferries) link the Centre with Brisbane city and suburbs. Translink tickets are the best way to visit and travel around the city. The Translink website contains more details: http://www.translink.com.au/  

 

By Train

The closest train station is South Brisbane; only a few minutes walk away.  A regular Air Train service operates between Brisbane’s international and domestic airports.  Travelling time is approximately 25mins. Tickets are available from the Information Desk.

By Bus

The Cultural Centre is the main hub for most bus routes, only a few minutes walk away adjacent to the Queensland Performing Acts Centre. A Free Loop downtown bus service circles Brisbane’s Central Business District only.

 

By CityCat

The CityCat Ferry stops at Southbank Terminal 2 which is located on the Clem Jones Promenade.  CityCats run daily from 5.30am-10.30pm.

 

By Taxi

A dedicated taxi rank is located at the main entrance of the Centre on the Cnr Merivale and Glenelg Streets.  Taxis are also accessible in other locations in the South Bank precinct including the 2 hotels – Rydges and Mantra.

PARKING AT BCEC

There are 1,500 undercover parking spaces available at the Centre, access via Merivale Street with direct lift access to the Centre's multiple convention floors and exhibition facilities.

2-4 Hours: $20
4-9 Hours: $30
Maximum daily rate: $30
Motorcycle: $14
Early Bird enter before 9am, exit between 3pm-6pm (Mon-Fri only): $16


 

  • 24-hour undercover parking with onsite security

  • Fast pay fast exit using credit card on entry and exit

  • Visa, Mastercard and cash are accepted at exit booths

  • Auto pay machines located in Russell Walk

  • Exit booths are manned during operational hours and during events

  • Special access parking bays located next to lifts

  • Entry heights are as follows:

    • Car Park one: 2.3m

    • Car Park two: 2.2m (Merivale St), 2.1m (Russell St Ramp), 2.2m (Melbourne St)

    • Car Park three: 2m (Merivale Street) or 2.1m (Grey St)

 

* Exhibitors can receive an ‘exhibitor rate’ - flat fee of $15/vehicle/day - when exhibitor name badges are shown to the Information Desk at the BCEC main entrance.
