The World of Drones Congress 2017 (WoDC 2017) has been successfully held. This inaugural event was attended by over 630 delegates from across the Asia Pacific and beyond and featured a fascinating Expo with over 30 exhibitors from Australia, China and Japan. The program included the launch of Australia’s very first state-wide Drones Strategy by the Premier of Queensland and the first Australian National Drone Safety Forum

For the first time ever, the inaugural World of Drones Congress (WoDC) will provide an international forum for everyone concerned with drones – from businesses to governments, investors to enthusiasts.
WoDC is an initiative of AEG Ogden and will be held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre.
WoDC will be presented in four segments:
On Saturday, September 2nd, the World of Drones Congress opened its doors to the public for everyone to visit more than 30 exhibitors' booths from Australia and overseas, showcasing their latest drone technology.
Using a remotely piloted aircraft, Queensland Fire and Emergency Services and Queensland Police coordinated a response to a simulated boat accident scenario on the Brisbane River at Southbank.
The exercise demonstrated joint agency response capability to the wider community and demonstrate the ability for remotely piloted aircraft to assist in providing wide area situational awareness to coordinating and monitoring an emergent situation.
